Rip Curl Boardmasters 2008
Who are they?
The Rip Curl Boardamsters 2008 is Europes largest surf & skateboarding festival. Fistral Beach, Newquay, Cornwall and Watergate Bay are the venues for this surf, skate and music festival. The 5 Star World Qualifying is the highlight of the week with the Worlds best surfers competing for over $100,000. The Vans Summer Sessions is the skate equivalent with a total prize purse of $20,000.
What we do
For the second year running, Quaytech are providing full IT support for the 7 day surf, skate and music festival, including wireless broadband across the entire Fistral Beach, Newquay site. Aztec Recruitment - Redruth & Newquay
Who are they?
Aztec Recruitment provides candidates at all levels in all industry sectors. They provide permanent and temporary staff and can alleviate all those staffing problems, providing our clients with the flexibility and reliability they need. Based in Newquay, Cornwall and Redruth also in Cornwall.
What we do
We provide Aztec with business IT support to their server based networks at both Newquay and Redruth in Cornwall. Recently we upgraded their server to improve their network security and data backup. We also created a VPN between offices in Newquay and Redruth to enable full data access to both sites. We have also created a new CMS based website to allow them to add new vacancies as and when they require.
Vanguard Projects, Newquay, Cornwall
Who are they?
Property Development. Specialise in prime location schemes which comprise of luxury apartments, town houses and individual homes of character and quality. Based in Newquay, Cornwall.
What we do
Quaytech has provided Vanguard Projects with a new server running Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 at their Newquay offices, to provide them with file sharing, print sharing and remote access to their email.
Lifestyle Lettings, Newquay, Cornwall
Who are they?
Innovative lettings agency, based in Gover Lane,Newquay, Cornwall - Covering Cornwall.
What we do
Quaytech have recently installed a new Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 system to provide data consolidation and improved data security and data backup as well as remote working and remote email facilities. We have also provided a CMS based web site. The site includes use of backend databases and photo viewer to give the end user an insight into the property before they organise a viewing.
Virtual Presence
Who are they?
Consultancy firm for companies that require an online presence, specifically Second Life. Live DJ streaming onto websites and into Second Life.
What we do
Quaytech have provided a streaming music server and data connection for Virtual Presence that is currently being utilised in the Koola nightclub in Newquay, Cornwall. The server allows the streaming of the music from within the Koola nightclub into an exact copy of the club on the island of Cornwall within Second Life. The music streams can be taken directly from the mixing desk, so that whatever the DJ is mixing, it can be heard simultaneously within the virtual nightclub.

Who are they?

What we do
Quaytech have supplied,installed and supported a new Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 based network to enable rapid growth of this service industry company based in Roche near Bodmin in Cornwall. Quaytech provided this server based network in order to improve data security and backup. Quaytech also provide QES with website and email hosting.
Fistral Blu Restaurant, Fistral Beach, Newquay
Who are they?
Restaurant and bar built on the beach at Fistral Beach, Newquay, Cornwall. Now serving a great new spring menus every day of the week. They also provide a stunning location for weddings, functions or conferences. Their amazing location, great choice of rooms and stunning views make us very hard to beat.
What we do
Quaytech provide IT support to Fistral Blu on Fistral Beach, Newquay. We cover their office based PCs, their network and broadband connection. We also provide support for their wireless network that is available to the general public.
Boardwalk Surf Shop, Newquay, Cornwall
Who are they?
The Boardwalk Surf Shops are situated in the heart of Newquay opposite the town's Train Station overlooking Newquay Bay's main surfing beaches, and is one of the major Newquay surf shops. Stocking Quicksilver, Billabong, Roxy, O'Neill, etc.
What we do
Quaytech have provided support for their EPOS hardware and network as well as their back-office network. ALl based at the Cliff Road shops in Newquay, Cornwall.
Kingsley Village, Fraddon, Cornwall
Who are they?
Kingsley Village offers unique shopping from fashion and gifts to local artisan food and drink, plus an excellent restaurant serving meals, snacks and treats from breakfast to afternoon tea. The best that Cornwall grows, makes and creates is all right there.
What we do
Quaytech provided Kingsley Village with a new back-office server to hold the EPOS data and provide improved data security and superior data backup facilities than they had previously. The server, UPS and tape backup is all housed in a very sturdy lockable 22U rack unit for increased security.
